Cirencester Table Tennis League
Club marked, Cirencester Table Tennis League played host to Pink Pong on Saturday 15th October, which is a registered charity associated with Table Tennis, raising money for Breast Cancer. The brain child behind the fund raising idea is Liz May from Plymouth whose close friend and Women’s British League team mate Helen Lambert was struck down by the illness.
The event was a great success with players from all four leagues in Gloucestershire attending the event. Many players who were not able to attend supported by purchasing raffle tickets and donating prizes as did local Cirencester celebrities Jackie and Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
The total raised was £554.47p which will go into the Pink Pong charity. It is hoped that after the success of this year we are able to host another Pink Pong day next year.
